JULY 2016 Research Alert

This month we added four new studies to the Best Practice Database, the research repository for Best Practices, LLC. Two of the documents are from our new study on the evolving role of medical affairs in payer interactions. These two studies examine a host of key issues on this topic, including structure, field resources, training and size of staff. Another study also examines the medical affairs function, but this research looks at the role the function is playing in launch support for medical device companies. The last study revisits the role of medical education in the era of transparency and presents benchmarks around structure, staffing and activities.

The new Best Practices, LLC studies listed below explore how leading companies have made their operations more effective across these different areas.

Best Practices, LLC conducted this benchmarking study to highlight critical success factors for strong medical affairs launch support, as well as to highlight strategies for thought leader targeting and communication. This study will serve as a reference point for medical device companies in developing successful medical affairs launch strategies.

Best Practices, LLC undertook this benchmarking study to understand the role of medical affairs in critical payer interactions and to highlight strategies for building and maintaining effective relationships with payers.
